The whole restaurant has gone downhill - the food and the service. It used to be good, the orders used to be accurate and the service was good. I don't know what happened to the one at Northgate over the past couple of years.

General Comments

My husband ordered pizza an hour in advance over the internet and was promised a 6:15 pick up time, he then phoned to have the time adjusted so that I could pick up the pizza right after my daughter's dance class at 6:40. On the phone he was assured the Pizza would be ready on time.

At 6:40 we got to the restaurant and one of the 6 staff in the kitchen said out loud "there's someone at the front". Of course everyone was crowded around the one person who was busy making pizza complaining, several staff walk to the front, but nobody served us, or even acknowledged that we were there.

Finally 5 minutes later, at 6:45 a woman came to the front, took my money for the pizza. Instead of handing me the pizza, she informed me that they had just started making the pizza and it would take 10 minutes. When I told her we had ordered an hour in advance she started complaining to me about how busy it was and how she had over 30 orders to make in the back. I confirmed with her the pizza would be ready in 10 minutes, and she said "yes".

My 6 year old walked to the seating area, where the chairs were upside down on tables. We pulled down 2 chairs and started our wait, and wait, and wait...

Finally 25 minutes later at 7:10 I went to the front to ask what was taking so long, and the woman who had originally served us went to a rack of pizzas and pulled ours off, handed it to me and said it had just been boxed up. I suspect it had been there for a while, and if I hadn't walked up I don't think she would have called us, or done anything to get us our pizza.

Unfortunately, no one in the store had an inclination towards customer service. If you promise something will be done at a specific time, make sure it is done. If you are in a situation to make someone wait, make their wait as comfortable as possible. Then offer to compensate them wit something as little as a free beverage or bread sticks, while they wait.

By the time I got home it was 7:25 which was really late dinner for a family with two young kids. If you have ever had to wait with a hungry child for 1/2 an hour for your food to come I think you'll understand.

I'd give them a 0 for service if this page would let me.
