General Comments

The condition of the apartment when I moved in 3 years ago was not as good as it could be. The caulking in the bathtub was poorly done and it molded within the first few months and the grout was in need of replacing. There were clear marks in the wall (even after being repainted prior to moving in) where you could see someone did some patch work. The oven was broken, with only the temperature dials working, and it blew two fuses in the first year before it was finally repaired.

The AC unit in my apartment was never properly installed, and water was leaking in behind the wall, creating ruptures beneath the unit. There is no circulation in the suite, so even with the AC on, it just barely manages to cool off the living room but not any of the bedrooms.

The resident managers present on the property are the worst people I've had the displeasure of interacting with. If they're not busy collecting rent and showing new tenants around, something they only do at the beginning and ends of the month, they're sitting on their porch during the summer months and staring down anyone who walks by, even tenants of 2 or 3 years who have never been a problem. It makes for a very unwelcome and uncomfortable place to be, and it got to the point where they would start walking over to question me while trying to get in and out of the car.

Moving out was not fun either, and the resident manager isn't interested in anything other than keeping the security deposit. On the managers first inspection, she had an issue with the cleanliness of the kitchen and the windows, but nothing else even after being grilled several times to make sure there were no further problems. After her second inspection, she complained about the rug not being shampooed, the grout needing replacing, and the spackle job in one of the bedrooms, issues that she refused to bring up during her first inspection.

The public areas of the apartment are seldom clean, with garbage and refuse piling up in the atrium and it always smells like fish.
